JJ Bachant provides the best service in the entire area for my GSD. From her prompt pick-up to the the return as well as the time spent in her care she is a kind , compassionate lady who loves animals and it shows through her fantastic care.
We have used JJ to assist us in owner service dog training where we need to fill the gaps. She has been professional, kind, and encouraging throughout the entire process! She’s been available to meet us on site for the hard to train situations and places. She’s always early to arrive and ready with a plan, to include bringing staged participants, as well!
I’ve also used her for overnight stays when I know I needed a reliable caretaker for our special service dog care (I didn’t want her around other rowdy or barking dogs for an extended period of time). I highly recommend her and appreciate all that she’s done for our family!
After losing a dog to back issues my family felt that we needed another dog in the house to befriend the dog that was left behind. Our Bear is a miniature dachshund and went into a deep depression. We found a dog similar to the one our children grew up with, an Irish Setter. Yes we bought her from a breeder in Oklahoma and loved her the minute she arrived. Bear on the other hand wasn’t so happy to have this rough and playful puppy in place of the dog we lost. Boom.. we felt it had backfired….
Luckily we found JJ and her wonderful husband who walked right in and helped with potty training, commands. and control. Both dogs love JJ and we are thrilled with her natural ability with pups is never ending. Not only is she brilliant with dogs but she is so flexible since our schedules change on a moments notice.
Our dogs have stayed with her while we were on trips and the videos and pictures are so appreciated and enjoyed… We never had a moment that we worried about not being with them!

We know our pups are well cared for because they “tell us” through their actions upon our return, greeting us eagerly but looking for JJ to come in the front door. The photos and notes are such a comfort as we worry about the kiddos when we travel. An added convenience for us (over boarding) is that we can leave as early as we want and come in as late as we want, no closing times to work around. We met with JJ twice before knowing she was the right match for our needs.
Having jj taking care of my pets gives me such a relief, i dont even worry a minute about them. I know they are having a grand time and i love that.
Leaving my pets in JJ’s care has been such peace of mind! She is so attuned to animal behaviors and her observations have been most valuable. She takes care of situations responsibly and with great judgment. Best of all, my pets love her!

The DogSmith is an awesome company. JJ is wonderful and really knows how to care for animals. I used the in-home pet care service for 4 days with my 2 dogs. I have never felt so at ease with leaving my babies behind. I was so happy with the service and the daily updates. I knew that my dogs were happy and taken care of. I have already recommended The DogSmith to others and I will definitely use their services again.
My husband and I made the mistake of getting two puppies thinking it would be easier than one! Wrong. We were at our wits end. JJ was the light at the end of the tunnel. Our last hope.
JJ is first of all wonderful with our dogs and they love her! She helped us train and discipline and do things I never thought possible. I am in ah of this lady. We more than likely would have gotten rid of one of our fur babies if it wasn’t for her help.
