It’s back to school time and with the rush and excitement of starting a new school year don’t forget to keep an eye on your pets.  After of summer of having more family around your dog may experience stress so make sure they get plenty of attention and exercise to make the transition to the school year as much fun for your dog as it is for the rest of the family. It also will help to maintain your pet’s normal routine as much as possible, especially walks and meals. If any children have gone off to college, keeping one of his or her an old shirts in the dog’s bed will help your dog adjust.  Finally, don’t make a big deal when a family member leaves or returns for weekends or holidays and consider getting your pet an interactive toy.
